So, this has really been bugging me. There are a few books that I only received one of. Most stores only received one copy as well. So obviously they are going to go for a premium on the aftermarket. Now I am not saying that I want my cut, but it seems odd that I have to sell a book for $4 for it then to sell for $100-200 shortly thereafter.
So here is what I decided to do. For these 3 books that I only received one copy of, I am going to do a raffle. The proceeds will benefit either the Hero Initiative or the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (depending on the choice of the winner). Raffle tickets will be $1 each. Drawing will be at 5:00.
Now I know that this won’t make me Mr. Popular for the guys hoping to get there first and resell them, but, oh well.
For the rest of the limited items, there will be a $50 purchase requirement in order to purchase one.
There will also be a 1 per person limit on the books as well so that everyone can play. It just concerns me that this will become something just for the speculators rather than an opportunity to get something cool that you really want.
Sorry to have to make so many rules, but this is just a unique type of thing. I’m not trying to make ridiculous money on any of this, I just want it to be fair to everyone.
