I received my “special fancy allowing me to make podcasts” recorder today (thank you really successful Free Comic Book Day!). It will allow me to record our Book Clubs, Round tables and anything else I want to do without needing multiple microphones and stuff.
My first ones will probably be solo stuff. I am going to do one in the next couple of days going through the Previews to give you an idea of how I, as a retailer, look at the book. And you will never look at it the same way again! Maybe.
Flashpoint #5
I had a nice little discussion on the store Facebook page (I really need to get the forums here up and running. Just one more day a week, please. Right between Wednesday and Thurday – Readcomicsday.) about Flashpoint and Fear Itself. It continued today with the announcement that DC is only going to put out one book, Flashpoint #5, the last week of August. My guess is that this is to hype the impact in the DCU of this book. My guess is that some of the changes made in Flashpoint will not be “fixed” by the end of it.
I don’t know if I am right, but DC’s solicits for August just came out. These books have storylines that are ending (according to the solicitations) in August:

It “supposedly” ends in August, leaving a clean slate for September.
Does that mean no more Grounded storyline? It was a good idea but didn’t need to be dragged out this long.
