FREE COMIC BOOK DAY IS SATURDAY!!!

Good golly, its right around the corner! For those of you that don’t know, Free Comic Book Day is a super special day where comic book stores around the country give away comic books. Yup, just give them away. No strings attached. Publishers have created over 50 titles to be given away this year. (Here’s a link to all of the official books) I am supplementing my offerings with dozens more. (I am actually very concerned that they won’t fit on the 4 8′ tables I have for them.)

Now I don’t have a lot of rules. Some stores limit what you can have. I don’t. My only request is that you only take one copy and that you only grab what looks interesting to you. Grabbing one of each book costs me about $50. I don’t mind spending the money, but if you have no intention of reading some of them, its wasted money on my part. Especially the kid books. If you have no interest in Spongebob or Smurfs or Archie, please leave them for a kid who does.

To make things even more fun, I bring out the grill and feed you. Drinks too. And this year I am going to try to add Rita’s later in the day. (My wife is handling this part, but my daughter has a double-header that day, just to mess everything up.)

I am aiming to be open by 9:00. Set up take a while and I do my best but I am not an early morning guy.

This year I am also adding a 2nd cash register to make a “Cash Only” line to help alleviate checkout time.

I just got in 11 long boxes of brand new never been gone through $1 books. Lots of good stuff in there. Those will be out on the sidewalk.

I will post the different sales later in the week (once I figure out what they are), but it will be worth your while to stop by.

Please retweet and share this post with all of your friends and family.
