I know that I talk about my original art and statues sometimes, so I figured I’d finally post them up here finally.
Original Art:My wife actually started this. She got me the Miller Daredevil sketch as a very early anniversary present. Then she got me my first Colan Daredevil page for my 30th birthday. The Ross was for my 40th and the Murphy Punk Rock Jesus was for our anniversary.
Daredevil by Fred Hembeck. My first (and only) convention sketch.
Daredevil by Frank Miller
Daredevil by Gene Colan (DD #35) (Yes, those are notes in the margins by Stan Lee)
Daredevil meets Thor (#30) by Gene Colan
Daredevil #58 by Gene Colan. This one hung in my law office. It has the judge banging his gavel and a jury giving a verdict.
A Daredevil sketch I found by Mike Grell. Not only do I have a Daredevil issue and a Colan issue, I have a Grell issue.
A Warlord page by Grell that my wife got me.
A page from Jon Sable Freelance by Grell. I also have a Green Arrow cover by Grell that is on loan to the Toonseum
Green Arrow proposing to Black Canary. Commissioned from Mike Grell by my wife for our 10th Anniversary
A Glicee on canvas signed by Alex Ross. From my wife for my 40th birthday.
Punk Rock Jesus by Sean Murphy
The Punk Rock Jesus spread my wife got me for our 20th anniversary. on the mantle.
Statues:I know these aren’t great pictures, but this shows why I have so many in the store. I started getting Bowen busts off of eBay and Sandi liked them because she could actually see them as opposed to comics in boxes in the basement. I think she is regretting telling me that now.
Case #1
Case #2
The top of the entertainment center in the living room #1 (Much to my wife’s dismay. The custom built bookshelves I had made were too small.)
Top of the entertainment center #2 (Yes, I have a Daredevil issue. I know)
Dracula statue (based on Colan art) on too small custom bookshelves
Yes, I even have Howard the Duck (but someone sold my copy of the Howard the Duck Omnibus before I could bring it home 🙁
Beautiful. Colin, I would sell my soul to see this in person. The Punk Rock Jesus Panels are my personal favorites!
Awesome stuff! Thanks for sharing, Colin!
