Due to an incident at the store today, I am going to have to institute a new policy. Going forward, there will be a maximum purchase of 2 copies per person of any single issue. And this means per person not per visit (ie, no going outside and coming back in). No one needs 24 copies of the hot new Image book. I order based on how I think a book will sell and it’s not fair for one customer to take a substantial portion of my stock.
If you want that many copies of a book you need to pre-order it before the Final Order Cutoff (3-4 weeks before the book arrives).
I will post signs in the store when I get back from vacation.

Seriously, it’s silly that you would need such a policy, but perfectly reasonable on your part. Also, just imagining this incident lets me stroke my gray beard and say how everything old is new again …. and then go chase some kids offa my lawn.
