  1. Good podcast. I couldn’t really hear Ryan and really like hearing his take on the new DC books. I still haven’t read everything from this week, but I have to say that outside of a few books that have been great (about 1 a week) and the occasional book that took me by suprise, I really can’t believe that this is truly DC’s best effort. I was expecting more and actually hoping they would win me over, but that hasn’t happened. For every book I’ve loved their has been 2 that I just outright didn’t like or was just ho hum.

  2. Just started listening to the podcast about 25 minutes in and I want to point something out. At about the 22-23 minute mark as the conversation is going on about Catwoman, Colin makes a comment about well “That wouldn’t happen in a Marvel book”. What was the purpose of that comment other then a dig at Marvel. It did nothing to enhance what was a good conversation about the last page of Catwoman. Those are the type of ill placed comments that drive me absolutely nuts and the reason I believe a few people think Colin is a Marvel hater. That comment (while I’m sure Colin was just trying to be funny) could be looked at a just an out of the blue dig at Marvel and if you go back and listen to the other podcasts that type of comment comes from Colin alot. Those are the comments that I believe are making the Marvel people mad, not reviews of books or the pushing the new DC 52, but those little unneccasary comments.

    • No, Shawn. My comment was in reference to a comment made about Commissioner Gordon smoking. Many years ago Joe Quesada made an edict that no one could be shown smoking in a Marvel comic. Thus, characters known for smoking, such as Nick Fury and Wolverine are no longer shown smoking. So, I think that the point is valid and in no way is a dig at Marvel.
