Part 2 of Greg Pak’s limited series has less to do with the Silver Surfer and more to do with Norrin Radd, the Surfer’s past persona.  The Silver Surfer has been stripped of the power cosmic by the High Evolutionary.  Norrin Radd finds himself on a military base under the care of the former Cybermancer.  Cybermancer helps Radd escape only to witness the High Evolutionary use the power cosmic to summon Galactus’s world eating machine, the Star Sphere.  A pretty neat story for a limited series to say the least.

This isn’t Greg Pak’s first write of the Silver Surfer.  He did so in “Planet Hulk.”  I loved it then and I love it now.  You can call me bias though, as I’ve been a Surfer fan since I was a kid.  Still to this day, one of my favorite comic arcs is the Herald Ordeal from the 90s.

I have no complaints about the art.  Depsite being two artists, I cannot tell any differences.  My favorite part of the art is definitely the cover though.  Lastly, as a cosmic fan, I hope that this limited series may be a stepping stone for Pak to write more cosmic stories after leaving The Incredible Hulk.
